AARBL Spring 2020 Procedure

COACH REGISTRATION will begin Saturday, January 25:  (click on the green “Register now” button).

EARLY PLAYER REGISTRATION will begin Monday, January 27:  (see below)

Players will play in leagues based on LEAGUE AGE which is age on April 30, 2020.

PLAYER REGISTRATION – (click on the green “Register Now” button): (SEPARATE REGISTRATION FOR EACH AGE GROUP  – YOU MUST REGISTER IN THE CORRECT LEAGUE FOR YOUR PLAYER’S AGE ON APRIL 30, 2020, AND BIRTHDATE ENTERED MUST MATCH THE COPY OF THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE PROVIDED.  SEE BELOW FOR BIRTH CERTIFICATE POLICY).  ONLINE PAYMENT MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION.  IF PAYMENT IS NOT MADE, THE REGISTRATION WILL BE DELETED.  All PAID registrations received prior to registrations being closed are GUARANTEED a spot on a team at the draft.

EARLY PLAYER REGISTRATION:  (JANUARY 27 THROUGH FEBRUARY 19)

     3-4 Knee High - $60.00, 8 regular season games, no tournament (WEATHER PERMITTING).

     5-6 coach pitch league - $110.00, 12 regular season games/minimum 2 tournament games (“WEATHER PERMITTING”).

     7-8 coach pitch league - $110.00, 12 regular season games/minimum 2 tournament games (“WEATHER PERMITTING”).

     9-10 player pitch league - $110.00, 12 regular season games/minimum 2 tournament games (“WEATHER PERMITTING”).

     11-13 player pitch league - $110.00, 12 regular season games/minimum 2 tournament games (“WEATHER PERMITTING”).

LATE PLAYER REGISTRATION will run Thursday, February 20 through Wednesday, February 26 IF REGISTRSATION IS STILL OPEN:

     3-4 Knee High - $70.00

     5-6 coach pitch league - $120.00

     7-8 coach pitch league - $120.00

     9-10 player pitch league - $120.00

     11-13 player pitch league - $120.00

All players must have a copy of the original birth certificate or certified copy of the birth certificate on file before being allowed to participate in any league games.  Once the birth certificate is on file with the league, that player does not have to provide another copy of the birth certificate in future seasons of participation in the league.  You must provide a copy of the birth certificate to your coach prior to the season starting and prior to participating in any games.  That copy will be retained by the league.

Evaluations (tryouts) for LEAGUE AGES 9-10 AND 11-13 ONLY will be Saturday, February 29 at D-BAT Amarillo, 11817 I-27 between Amarillo and Canyon.  

         (ONLY for 9-10 and 11-13 players who are registered and paid by February 26)  

         PLAYERS MUSTCHECK IN AT THE CHECK-IN TABLE INSIDE THE FRONT DOOR BEFORE                  PROCEEDING TO THE TRYOUT AREA. 

         9-10  -  Saturday, February 29, 9:00 a.m., D-BAT Amarillo, 11817 I-27 between Amarillo and Canyon.  

       11-13  -  Saturday, February 29, 11:30 a.m., D-BAT Amarillo, 11817 I-27 between Amarillo and Canyon.  

Drafts (for coaches only): For 9-10 and 11-13 leagues, Sunday afternoon, March 1.  For 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8 leagues, Monday night, March 2      (details later).  

Coaches get their practice locations lined up and set their own practice schedules. 

Regular season games will be played on a “WEATHER PERMITTING” basis.

Tournaments will be played on a “WEATHER PERMITTING” basis.

Most games will be scheduled on Saturdays and Sunday afternoons after church.

As in the past, games scheduled on Sundays will be in the afternoon only, after conclusion of Sunday morning church.

No teams in these leagues travel; therefore, no blackout dates or time slots are accepted for scheduling.

Scheduled opening day will be Saturday, March 28.

There will be no games scheduled for Easter Sunday, April 12.

If necessary, there will be games scheduled for Mother’s Day, Sunday May 10.

If necessary, there will be games scheduled for Memorial Day weekend.

Tournaments will begin the first Saturday after the conclusion of the regular season.  If necessary, the tournaments will be moved forward  to conclude as late as Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21, BUT NO LATER THAN JUNE 21.
